McNabs & Lawlor Islands 4th Annual Paddle & Cleanup Sunday September 9, 2001 (Rain Date Sept 16) 10 AM Meet at the unpaved parking lot near Dooks Wharf in Shearwater (across from Tim Horton's on the road to Eastern Passage) Join fellow sea kayakers and open canoeists for a leisurely paddle along the shoreline of McNabs and Lawlor Islands in Halifax Harbour. We will stop at several hard-to-reach beaches and collect litter. Plastic bags will be provided, and a motor boat will pick up the full bags afterwards. PFDs have to be worn while on the water, while other safety equipment required by the Coast Guard (floating line, bailer, signaling device) must be on board. Bring your own lunch, water, and rain gear. Sorry, we are unable to lend you a boat.
