The Nova Scotia chapter of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society will hold a one day workshop on building partnerships in parks and wilderness protection on September 15th 2001. The workshop will address protection of both terrestrial and marine environments. Guest speakers will include Sabine Jessen (CPAWS-BC) and Harvey Locke (currently with Conservation Law Foundation), as well as local speakers (Kermit de Gooyer, Karen Beazley, Martin Willison, Oliver Maass, and others). The workshop will focus on practical aspects of building effective partnerships towards conservation action in Atlantic Canada. It is open to everyone. Date: 15th September 2001, registration opens 8.30 a.m. Place: Room 202, new academic building University of King's College (Coburg Rd. Halifax).
