Friends of Point Pleasant Park Association Public Lecture Point Pleasant Park The Beetle That Wasn't There Stephanie Robertson Auditorium Nova Scotia Museum Summer Street Halifax Thursday, July 19, 2001, 7:30 p.m. The Friends of Point Pleasant Park Association will sponsor a public presentation on Thursday, July 19, at 7:30 p.m. in the Nova Scotia Museum on Summer Street, on the subject of Point Pleasant Park, the Beetle That Wasn't There. The speaker will be Stephanie Robertson, who conducted a beetle trapping survey in the Park in 1990. Ms. Robertson, a past president of the Halifax Field Naturalists and current vice-president of the Association, will also describe the history of the significant influence of human activities in the Park and the results of the 2000 trapping survey within the Park (from access to information documents) and will illustrate the talk with slides and transparencies.
