MORE DELAYS ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PESTICIDE BYLAW YOUR HELP IS NEEDED - Please attend this week's City Council meeting WHERE: Halifax City Hall, (bounded by Duke, Argyle, and Barrington streets. Just across the street from Scotia Square) WHEN: Tuesday, 6:00 PM, May 15 Last week there was a delay in the approval for hiring one or more pesticide bylaw inspectors because Councillor Steve Adams, an opponent of the Bylaw, was not there!!!! This delay could negatively impact the bylaw, and the needed processing of public inquiries. (Further, it is important to select a neutral inspector.) New councillors who missed the public hearings need to know the public is firmly behind this bylaw. A show of numbers is the only way we have of sending this clear message to council. Sorry for the short notice. PLEASE BE THERE. -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- The preceding message was posted on Sustainable Maritimes (sust-mar) -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- TELL A FRIEND!
