JOB POSTING (PLEASE CIRCULATE WIDELY) EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, THE NOVA SCOTIA PUBLIC INTEREST RESEARCH GROUP START DATE: MAY 1, 2001 EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: Nspirg is looking for an Executive Director to begin in May, 2001. The candidate must be available for a two week training period beginning May 1st. The rate of pay is $12.80 per hour, 30 hours per week. The initial contract is for one year but may be renewed annually for a maximum of 3 consecutive years. The position: The Executive Director is responsible for office administration (including managing nspirg's finances and conducting various administration duties); coordinating nspirg's activities; assisting with budget planning, long-term planning and policy development; recruiting volunteers and overseeing staff; developing and writing grant and employment proposals, promoting nspirg publications, networking with other community groups.
