A special welcome to Lilli Ju, who recently joined sust-mar. Many of you know Lilli as host of a radio show on CKDU 97.5, and active in many environmental issues. But she is also sust-mar's 300th subscriber! 300 is of course a record for sust-mar. But, our success is necessitating some adjustments: If you do the math, you'll see that 300 subscribers means that each one of us is "entitled" to fewer than two (2) postings per year! Of course, not every subscriber posts messages. But, you see the problem. Sust-mar simply can't handle all the messages that are flowing in. Please keep this in mind when sending messages in to sust-mar. I'd like to ask people to try to stick to a voluntary guideline (just like industry!) of one message per month. I don't want to restrict people in numbers. But I may not be able to give "priority" to more than one message per month per person. "Priority" means that your message gets posted usually within one week. I do this for time-sensitive messages. Other "routine" messages may take a month or more to be posted. Please keep these timings in mind. Messages have a much better chance of being posted if they are: - on topic (*Maritime* sustainability) - short, i.e. less than 10K - in plain text format (no html, no MIME, no rich text or fonts) - free of copyright material If you've abided by the above and your message hasn't been posted after the time limits suggested above, drop me a line and i'll try to tell you the status of your message in the queue. Thanks, all! ~paul :) _________________________________________________________________________ Paul A.
