Alternative christmas trees, Live! I have a number of young wild-growing spruce trees that I would like to remove to make way for something else, but do not like to cut them down without honouring them in some way. They are in a variety of inside-the-house sizes, also tiny ones, and various shapes, mostly asymmetric, a few symmetric, and can be quite acceptable, though not standard, christmas trees. I would like to offer them to anyone who would like, in exchange for a donation to R.A.T.E., Real Alternatives to Toxins in the Environment, the group that has worked so tirelessly for the past five years basically without funding to ban urban landscape pesticide application in Nova Scotia, HRM, and in securing federal legislation as well. $5 or whatever you can, and of course donations in any amount are much appreciated and well used in R.A.T.E.'s efforts to build a healthy community! To give any of these special trees a home, please call Helen Lofgren 477-4022. -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- The preceding message was posted on Sustainable Maritimes (sust-mar) -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- TELL A FRIEND!
