Announcement ** The History of Swordfishing Wednesday June 7, 2000 Nova Scotia Museum Museum Auditorium 7:30 pm Join us at the Nova Scotia Museum for a presentation on the history of Swordfishing, by Franklyn d’Entremont of Pubnico. Mr. d’Entremont will discuss harpoon fishing, arguably one of the most selective fisheries in the world, which is still being used for harvesting swordfish and tuna. Mr. d’ Entremont will also describe his deep passion for this method of fishing and for the many other creatures that live in the open ocean ecosystem. Gretchen Fitzgerald, a master’s student at Dalhousie University will also be present at the talk to discuss the biological impacts of Swordfishing.
