--------------------------------------------------- Public Service Announcement GREEN PARTY PUBLIC MEETING Wed, April 12, 2000 at 7:30 p.m. Bloomfield Centre (corner of Agricola and Bloomfield) Senior's Lounge ---------------------- The Green Party of Canada is inviting interested Nova Scotians to an information meeting in Halifax. Find out more about the state of Green politics in Nova Scotia. The party is launching study groups and will be involved in other work on a wide variety of social, economic, and sustainability issues. Support for the Green Party in Canada is generally getting stronger. In some British Columbia communities, for example, Green candidates are running third in provincial popularity polls, ahead of some government candidates. Others have won in some municipal elections. In the U.S., a Green from Michigan is running for the Senate. In Belgium and Germany, Green politicians hold ministerial positions for health, transportation and foreign policy departments. What's happening in Atlantic Canada? Come and find out. Admission is free. No membership is required. Local Green Party members will be present to answer questions about current activities and outline plans for upcoming elections. Call Antoni Wysocki at 423-2365 for more info. -30- -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- The preceding message was posted on Sustainable Maritimes (sust-mar) -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- Overloaded with email?
