The Urban Farm Museum Society, in partnership with the Nova Scotia Organic Growers Association, is pleased to present SEEDY SATURDAY, 2:00 to 5:00 pm, February 19, 2000 Golden Age Social Centre 212 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield, Halifax. We invite you to participate in this seed extravaganza by bringing any non-hybrid seeds you have to sell, exchange, or give away. You're also welcome to sell, exchange or give away organic seed-starting materials, plants, cuttings, and scion wood. We'll have tables for you to display your non-hybrid seeds and other materials. While there's no set fee for participating, we do ask that you contribute 10% of your day's sales to help us cover costs. We'll donate any surplus to the Urban Farm Museum Society. The Society is focussed on establishing a working farm museum in Spryfield to: 1) commemorate the area's rural heritage; 2) enable food production in the city; 3) serve as an adjunct teaching venue for local schools; and 4) strengthen the traditional social fabric of the area.
