Elizabeth May Environmentalist, author, activist and lawyer. Author of three books: _Budworm Battles_ (1982); _Paradise Won: The Struggle to Save South Moresby_ (1990); _At the Cutting Edge: The Crisis in Canada's Forests_ (1998). Honourary member of the board for the Canadian Environmental Network and a founding member of the Canadian Environmental Defence Fund and Women for a Healthy Planet. The first chair-holder of the Elizabeth May Chair in Women's Health and Environmental Studies at Dalhousie University. Executive Director of the Sierra Club of Canada. Jennifer Story Long time social activist. While studying at the University of Guelph she worked as a writer and producer in both radio and print for a number of university and media outlets. She also served as the National Deputy Chairperson for the Canadian Federation of students. She later became active in the co-operative movement and worked in the Philippines with the credit union movement there. Since 1999 she has been the Health Protection Campaigner for the Council of Canadians and is currently responsible for the Council's successful Campaign Against GE Foods. Victoria Gibb-Carsley Masters Degree in International and Intercultural Management; she has worked in popular and Adult Education for the past ten years. She has previously worked with the Ontario Public Interest Research Group in Ottawa, and with Canada World Youth in Canada and Latin America, and as a high school teacher in Canada and the Middle East. Currently Victoria is the national organizer of the Council of Canadians where during the past three years she has overseen the growth of Council chapters from 10 to 60. As national organizer, Victoria works with the campaign teams, regional organizers and chapters of The Council to realize national campaigns at a local level across the country.
