[Ed: There was enthusiastic response to the idea of sust-mar "classifieds." However, the general feeling was that a website would be better. Wayne used to operate such a site. He is looking for a volunteer to reactivate it. Please contact Wayne if you are interested.] In the past, I have operated a website called the "Dalhousie Virtual Second Hand Store". It was similar to the kind of site Paul has been suggesting. It allowed people to place free advertisements to sell or give away stuff. The files are all still in place, so it could be useful in terms of saving some work. I reactivated the files today, so that you can check it out. This is the address: http://is.dal.ca/~greendal/secondhand.html Of course, the store is empty right now. I cleared the shelves when I shelved the project about eight months ago because I was too busy at the time to handle it. When I was operating the store, I had a mailing list set up, to send weekly updates of new ads. This could work again and include mailing to sust-mar.
