Hello, Clean Nova Scotia (a non-profit, environmental education organization in Halifax) is looking for a family that has recently made lifestyle changes that will benefit the environment. We would like to feature this family in our Kids Planet Action newsletter. We are not looking for the "perfectly green family" but rather one that is trying to reduce their impact on the environment by making small, but significant changes to their actions. These might include: % embracing an energy reducing program % limiting the use of the car % refusing to buy heavily packaged goods % buying organic produce, or growing a garden % going beyond recycling, to finding innovative ways to reduce and reuse THe Planet Action Club for Kids (PACK) newsletter is sent to registered elementary school teachers, free of charge, three times per year. PACK focuses on different environmental topics in each issue, and it supplies a Teacher's Guide to help encorporate the topics into the curriculum. The topic for the next issue is the Individual (individual choices & impacts...). If you know of a family that we could profile, please contact Meredith at Clean Nova Scotia at 420-3475, or toll free at 1-800-665-5377. Or you could simply reply to this e-mail. If you like, you can fax Clean Nova Scotia at 424-5334. The deadline for suggestions is November 11, 1999. Thanks for your help!
