People are invited to ring bells at Noon, Monday, March 1, at the Spring Garden Rd. Public Library, to celebrate the coming into gorce of the international law banning landmines. Good speakers, and the Raging Grannies will be there to help celebrate. The event is sponsored by many groups, including Voice of Women, Mines Action Canada, Oxfam Canada and the Canadian Red Cross Society. The environmental angle? We want to celebrate the fact that this coalition for this on the international agenda... for many in this coalition, the next issue will be that of nuclear weapons, and this would be a perfect issue for environmental and peace groups to co-operate on. See you there.... Daniel. -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- You received this because you are subscribed to "sust-mar", the Sustainable Maritimes mailing list.
