Through your connections, please help spread word about the following workshop, especially among environmental volunteer groups. On February 11, Thursday, 8.30am - 4.30pm at the Capt. William Spry Community Centre there will be a full-day workshop, "Volunteers and Community Agencies in Crisis", on the effects of cutbacks and "downloading" on communities, individuals and volunteer groups, beginning with coffee and muffins at 8.15am and a working lunch provided, total cost $10 (to cover lunch, coffee and breakfast). Includes a press conference at 11am, provision of data and information (facts, figures, trends) in the morning, and strategy/action sessions in the afternoon. Workshop intended for volunteer and community organizations in Nova Scotia. Sponsored by Capt. William Spry Community Centre, GPI Atlantic, Metro Community Services Network, and Nova Scotia Association of Social Workers.
