Index of Subjects Hi David! On Tue, 20 Oct 1998, David Potter wrote: > The new CCN 'Welcome' page has been in testing for a couple of weeks now > and appears to be ready for more widespread use. I think its working splendidly and its a great asset to the CCN. What I think would be very worthwhile doing at this stage is to initiate some documentation/training for appropriate CCN personnel/groups/ committies, etc of how the entity works and how CCN interest groups can contribute to the information accesed there. I recall that we have briefly discussed placing info in certain files in appropriate directories, etc. (where the scripts associated with beta-shell go looking to vacum up info), however, if we could formalize such details we could start the procedure of training people in how to use it and hence make it maximally effective. Also it would be useful to know how the weighted, rotating priority system that decides what will be displayed works (more or less) so that people have an understanding of this as well. I have some fragmentary recall of this (as is evidenced no doubt by these rambling comments ;->) but I could use a re-fresher! Cheers!
