I noticed and I should have mentionned in mylast e-mail ( But I noticed what time it was and realised I should get some sleep :) that the ftpd daemon doesn't get started up. It did on that first install, before I shadowed the pw file. Can it be ftpd wasn't compiled with shadow support and that it fails to run due to that? Here is my old and current ftpd line from inetd.conf #ftp stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/tcpd in.ftpd -l -a ftp stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/tcpd /csuite/etc/ftpd -l -a - u0133 Thanks for your help.
