Greetings David,

Ok, I just wanted to make sure.
Does this affect any real functionality?

Yes, I can telnet to that machine no problem. I noticed
and I should have mentionned in mylast e-mail ( But I
noticed what time it was and realised I should get some
sleep :) that the ftpd daemon doesn't get started up.
It did on that first install, before I shadowed the pw file.
Can it be ftpd wasn't compiled with shadow support and
that it fails to run due to that? Here is my old and current
ftpd line from inetd.conf

#ftp stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/tcpd in.ftpd -l -a
ftp stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/tcpd /csuite/etc/ftpd -l -a -
u0133

Thanks for your help.
