Hi everyone, A week from today, Friday May 5th (10am-8pm) and Saturday (9am-6pm), May 6th, Chebucto will have a booth at the KeyintoWork career expo at the Dartmouth Sportsplex. It will be a great opportunity to promote Chebucto as both an affordable community-based Internet access service, and also a place to work along side many volunteers and learn more about various IT areas, all providing applicable career entry experience. Our booth will be #70, located next to HRM CAP #71 :) I expect to be at the booth on and off on Friday, and Andrew hopes to be there for some specific times on Saturday. It would be great opportunity for our volunteers to meet people and talk about Chebucto as well. If you can provide a hour or so of your time to help out, it would be greatly appreciated. We'll have brochures, a volunteer registry for people to consider getting involved, handouts on what one can volunteer for at Chebucto, etc.Also, we'll have a door prize of one year's worth of PPP internet access. Anyone who can volunteer will need a nametag. I'm getting 8 name tags done up for now.
