Index of Subjects Hi all, On Fri, 24 Sep 1999, Mark Rushton wrote: > Now waitaminute....... > > Wish I'd known a few more things before proceeding.... It used to be that case that Internic was the only place that dispensed the .com, .org & .net domains. There's at least three active now, NSI, register.com, : and corenic.net, and I presume AOL's should be showing up soon. I'n not an expert in this area, however, I have expanded that section of the VDN document to include links to: 1) Net Wizards - http://www.netwiz.net/ 2) Domain Bank - http://www.domainbank.net 3) CASDNS Inc. - http://www.casdns.net/ 4) Register.com - http://www.register.com/ 5) Network Solutions - http://www.networksolutions.com 6) Domain Names International - http://www.dninet.net/ As well as: 7) Internet Council of Registers (CORE) - http://www.corenic.net/ Which seems to be a central registry of such and provides links to other registrars in Germany, Japan, Monaco and Spain; the list seeming grows daily. www.crsnic.net simply leads to a portion of the Network Solutions site. I'm not going to pursue every single registry in this continuously expanding list. If you feel some other site is meritorious, please add a link.
