I've finally figured out how to allow an IP to maintain a list of known
address.

This allows an individual to post directly from multiple addresses to a
mailing list that has 'restrict-post' enabled.

The list of supplementary addresses can be placed in the IP directory with
ordinary permissions (i.e. owned by the individual and IP group with
standard 444 permissions) which allows the IP editors to edit the supplementary
(known) list as they would any IP file.

majordomo can read the file and authenticate the user/address on that
basis.

The mailing list config file includes a reference in the restrict post
section to the supplementary list of addresses... in the example below it
is /csuite/info/Environment/FNSN/naturens-known

...and the regular list 'naturens'

	(actually /csuite/var/mail/majordomo/lists/naturens)

provides the basic list of allowable addresses

# restrict_post -- a series of space or : separated file names in which
# restrict_post [restrict_post] (undef) <resend>

restrict_post       =   naturens /csuite/info/Environment/FNSN/naturens-known
                           ^ ^
regular list...............| |
supplemantary list................................|
