Index of Subjects Hi Chris, Mark, Robert, everybody... I think the lack of 'easy access' to the documentation is related to the method of roll-out. As I understand it, until we get additional phone lines devoted to ppp we are only going to accept 100 accounts... at which point we will determine whether the existing lines can handle more subscribers, or whether we have to get more lines... etc... The first 100 accounts are being offered: - first to 'Sustaining Members' who have already paid $100 membership - next to supporting members, on a first come first served basis. They receive credit for remaining membership towards a new 1 year Sustaining mambership. - next to regular members, if the 100 accounts has not been taken up. Because the new service was being announced directly to Sustaining and then Supporting members, there was no real need to locate/provide easy access to the documentation. We were able to tell them where it was. In addition, the posssibility existed that requests from regular members might flood in and overwhelm the office. userhelp and others involved in the PPP rollout. As soon as the offer to 'Suppporting' members has expired, I expect we'll move on: g)o ppp-info, g)o ppp-help, and a link from the helpdesk... david potter On Mon, 11 Jan 1999, Christopher Majka wrote: > Hi Robert! > > On Mon, 11 Jan 1999, Robert Keereweer wrote: > > > Hello Mark / Chris; > > > > You can find some PPP documentation off the 3rd link on the Beacon > > page.
