It might also be worth using some of the special features of the search
engines to look for sites with specific links. To look for links to
"ccn.cs.dal.ca/~af380" (as a totally random example) that are NOT on CCN,
the syntax for AltaVista in the Advanced Search page would be
link:ccn.cs.dal.ca/~af380 AND NOT url:ccn.cs.dal.ca
A search on
link:ccn.cs.dal.ca/Culture/HarperLee/ AND NOT url:ccn.cs.dal.ca

Link [29] on the page uses the "ccn.cs.dal.ca" domain to link to the
Harper Lee page. You might want to drop the webmaster a line.
A search for sites that use explicit "cfn" or "ccn" URLs finds almost
fifteen hundred of them listed on AltaVista alone and any visitor that
uses those links and then follows relative URLs on the ccn/cfn pages and
bookmarks anything will also be using the old domains in their bookmarks.
