I don't know if there are any cases in the IP pages but altering something
like this:

The old addresses for our page,
        http://www.cfn.cs.dal.ca/path/filename.html
     and
        http://www.ccn.cs.dal.ca/path/filename.html
will soon be no longer valid. Please update your
     bookmarks to point to
        http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/path/filename

and changing it to this:

The old addresses for our page,
        http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/path/filename
     and
        http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/path/filename
will soon be no longer valid. Please update your
     bookmarks to point to
        http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/path/filename

could be very confusing for visitors.

Remember, if you try to change all cats to dogs, the results could be
dogastrophic.
