Hi Dave...

CSuite _does_ have a restriction on telnetting to non-standard ports. In
the past this was implimented for resource and security reasons.

Telnet to some ports can be used to attack system security... and there
has been at times concerns about the cost benefit of allowing this type of
connection restricted to 'public' services....

The 'tear down the walls' crowd would probably like to see us lift the
restriction entirely but the question has never been fully discussed
(technical, board, other CSuite sites, etc...).

In most instances, users who were determined to access these services have
found another way to do so... and it could be argued that this has
improved their computer skills... (a boy named Sue approach...;-).

If there is not a reason for disabling this how do we enable telnetting to specific ports?
