I'm not sure when it happened, (perhaps when the INBOXes were corrupted, or perhaps since) my postponed-msgs folder was corrupted in exactly the same way (the end of the X-status line, plus the line following...) The effect was to render the folder read-only, according to pine, so that it could not postpone additional messages. Approximate error messages: "can't append .... postponed-msgs...." (very long line) "Write to "postponed-msgs" FAILED!" I'll try to log this session and play back the responses again, in another message. Perhaps we could check to see if that "special file" is subject to the same problem still, or whether the INBOX fix, fixed it too!
