We could always change /var/log to be less. I believe that this was
discussed in the past. Currently, /var/log is 164mb on a 2gb disk. I think
we were talking about bringing it down to be around 50. Actually, if you
use the CS/RH install and use fdisk to format your drives then the last
partition (I use /var/log) is always smaller because fdisk uses cylinders
by default. /var/log goes down to about 95mb then. If we were to bring it
down to 50mb then we could give /usr 200mb always (which would accomodate
X better).
