The problem may be 'lib/mkcannon' - it showed up at WWHCN. The "canon" apperars to be pre-pended ith a tab '\t', so "db.$match" is coming out "db. matchdeb_entry". It does not appear to impact the "ps.$match" filename construction. I simply piped the filename-in-construction to " | tr -d ' \t' ", which seemed an appropriate safety measure in any case.
