According to the CSuite "rules", there is no anonymous FTP. FTPd is a
CSuite modified version that is supposed to only let login users into
their own accounts.

And Yup, it is not working.

Using ftp (4.2 Berkeley Distribution) I get, 'ftp wwhcn'
Connected to wwhcn.cnet.windsor.ns.ca.
220 wwhcn.cnet.windsor.ns.ca FTP server (Version
wu-2.4.2-academ[BETA-12](1) Sat Mar 8 19:29:25 AST 1997) ready.
Name (wwhcn:macneil): aa001
530 User aa001 access denied...(421 Service not available, remote server
has closed connection
Login failed.
No control connection for command: No such file or directory

Using NcFTP 2.3.0, with no login specifications, 'ncftp -u wwhcn'
I got a login prompt, entered aa001, and then
Error: Remote host has closed the connection.
Error: Unexpected response: 530 User aa001 access denied...(
and get booted out of ncftp on my local system.

Using NcFTP 2.3.0, with complete specifications for the login, and
variations of account (none, aa001) and directory (/, ~,
/var/csuite/home/01/aa001), I get
Error: Unexpected response: 530 User aa001 access denied...(

I have not had time yet to investigate the configuration problem. I just
did what they told me with the CSuite distribution documentation.

Landon,
I was getting access denied at csuite.chebucto at first, but now
it lets me in (as macneil). What change did you make?

Gerard MacNeil, P. Eng.
