Testing compress function in the filebrowser for user aa001 on landon. The individual files used for this have been grabbed from the system using (P)rint Help/html-primer.txt Help/AuthorHTML/html_crash_course.txt Services/Training/majordomoGuide.txt [8]Compress (using Unix compress) the resulting compressed file has .gz extension uncompress will not work on a file compressed with this option [9]Compress (using gzip) results in a file with .gz extension but uncompress will not uncompress this file [10]Compress (using zip) produces a file with .zip extension uncompress works well with this type of compressed file. -- David Murdoch
