As technical liaison to the IP committee, I have some proposed changes to 
the zip / unzip functions which I will either bring up at the next 
meeting or by e-mail in the next day or two...

Please let me know any concerns with these functions as seen by this 
audience.

What behaviour would you expect in this particular case? (zip -m perhaps, 
which zips and deletes (like gzip) and should be used with the test option?)
