Hello all, We at ValleyNet (Renfrew County) are up an running with Chebucto Software. We currently have approx. 125 registered users, and have only begun to advertise our existance. Now my question. With the help of the people on this list, we have identified many bugs in the Chebucto software, and have fixed them. Now that we have the basic functions working, we are going back and taking a closer look at all of the options and features of different components. So, how will updates be performed?? Is there a new version of the software available for Linux?? and if so, Is there significant changes in the software?? Would it be worthwhile to download the newer version?? We will not overwrite what we've got now, but I was thinking of installing it to a separate directory tree, and when we come across a problem, maybe compare what we've got now with the new version. One more note: When we installed the software originally, we copied everything from the info dir tree to a vnet directory tree for us. We then had a lot of work changing the wording from Chebucto to ValleyNet. Even though the basic content was the same, I don't think we'd ever want to go through that again with a new version of the software. I don't think this will be a problem since the majority of Csuite is in other dirs.
