Index of Subjects Here is some more debugging information for the Test Server, with regard to testing Information Provider items. I see that the html and gif file that I installed this noon are now showing up in the main IP area - I may just have mistyped something in the URL this noon. So, Http://jmn.bccna.bc.ca/Science/Astronomy/sasmenu.html brings up a copy of the home page from the web site I run for the Seattle Astro Society on Seattle Community Network. I just transferred a couple of extra html files to my test account to add to the installation. I hit an error message after tagging them and trying to move them from home directory to public_html: "likely system error on file transfer". However, the files were moved. A second attempt on two more tagged files worked without any error message. I notice that there doesn't seem to be a way to install multiple files that have been tagged, to the IP area. After tagging, the "F" command brings up a menu that allows moving, but not installation. If I give an "I" command after tagging files, I do get prompted for IP group or ? for list. However the list is empty - no Science/Astronomy area is listed, even though it exists. I tried specifying Science/Astronomy to the "I" command, but nothing happened. We shifted to the Science/Astronomy area, but no files were moved. OK, individual installation of html files to Science/Astronomy produced immediately useable web pages. RCS archive files were created for each installed page. I moved another set of web files, including a subdirectory structure, to the test server as a tar.gzip archive, using the "zmodem-via-telnet" transfer feature and zmodem upload from my PC terminal program (TeraTerm). No problem with the transfer. The Unpack and Untar options in the full file menu also worked, and preserved the original subdirectory structure. I discovered that the install option will work on entire directory trees - moving the tree to the IP web area, and creating RCS archives for all the files. So, in summary - all the Csuite tools that an Information Provider would use to maintain a web site seem to be working correctly.
