It can be done with time and patience "Patience et longueur de temps..."
Actually the English string contains the variable for plural (message%s),
but not for the the other elements, which are "invariable" in English, but
not in French. If I want to put a variable at "supprime" (supprime%s) the
source has to be written as to act according to the number of messages.
If, instead of "message", you have a variable (%s) that can be either a
masculine ("message") or a feminine ("enveloppe"), you multiply the
complexity by four.

This will have to wait until a next version, along with the French letters
for command e.g.: S) for Supprimer (instead of "D"), and ther Frendh name
for the setting options ("commandes_groupees" instead of
"aggregate-commands"), etc.

Be patients: Some day, hopefully, all those niceties will be brought to
you!
