By the way, the parenthesis >solution is already applied in some cases, as in "Detruire 1 message >supprime(s)? ". Actually, it is more complex than that. In "Detruire 1 message supprime(s)" "message" has a variable attached to it that differenciate singular from plural in the English string (e.g. message%s), while deleted has no variable attached to it because "deleted" is invariable in English. What it means is that all the strings would have to have been redone in French will all possible occurences of the variables: 1 message supprime 2 messages supprimes In some case, the variable can be masculine or feminine: e.g. "message" and "enveloppe", for instance. Then you would need four strings in French where you need only one in English. English : %s deleted %s%s French : 1 message supprime 2 messages supprimes 1 enveloppe supprimee 2 enveloppes supprimees The opening message in Pine reads in part: " ...ouverture de classeur de courrier". Shouldn't this be "...ouverture DU classeur de courrier"? Of course! Will look at it with Carrie tomorrow!
