Index of Subjects "=3D?ISO-8859-1?Q?msgs-envoy=3DE9s?=3D" is the MIME "quoted printable" = <!-- unreadable ...;-( --> encoding for "msg-envoy=E9s". This encoding = is used to put non-ASCII characters inside Internet mail headers. This = is one of the kludges by which the Internet tries to go global. My understanding of the problem: Pine defines a default "Fcc:" to "send-mail" (see "default-fcc" and = "fcc-rule-name" configs.), which we translated to "msgs-envoy=E9s", so = Pine should try to save a copy of the message to a folder named = "msg-envoy=E9s". However, considering "Fcc" being header of an Internet message, Pine = meticulously encodes non-ASCII characters using the MIME scheme. It is a bug within Pine! Pine should not consider Fcc being an Internet = header and MIME encoding should not occur. An immediate workaround would be to change the name of the folder to = "msg-envoye". Fixing the bug may not be obvious. All cases of conversion between file = names and header content should be considered. Take for instance the = "by-recipient" rule for "fcc-rule-name", it creates a folder name after = the recipient's name. If the recipient is "Robert Andr=E9 Cormier" = (encoded "Robert =3D?ISO-8859-1?Q?Andr=3DE9s?=3D Cormier"), decoding = should be done before making the file name. -----Message d'origine----- De: Robert Cormier [SMTP:trc@auracom.com] Date: 30 avril, 1997 14:23 =C0: m237636@er.uqam.ca Cc: csuite-french@chebucto.ns.ca Objet: Urgent: CCN: Pine-Fr: Cf/fcc on postponed message Laurent, I would appreciate your input on this.
