What are the specs on this box? How many users do you have? How many simultaneous users? How many phone lines? What speed is your internet connection? How much data do you have? What are your expansion projections? As a general rule of thumb, I advise against Compaq machines, because they are quirky, proprietary, and expensive. Compaq has a tendency to do things their own way, which means their boxes can be a pain to maintain and there can be compatibility problems (I'm in the middle of fighting with a Compaq right now). Because the boxes are proprietary, upgrading usually means replacing the entire system (except for vary simple upgrades such as adding memory or a bigger hard drive). For most sites, I would recommend a high quality "white box" such as Touch Systems (see http://www.touch-systems.ca/ ). The name on the outside of the box isn't that important, it's what's inside the box that counts. } What is the status with CSuite -- our current version is a couple of } years old as well -- and I hear that a new version is soon coming out. We're getting ready to roll out a new version (1.1). I'm aiming to have CD's at the BCCNA conference next weekend (see http://www.bccna.bc.ca/conf2000/ ). Unfortunately, I won't be able to guarantee that the upgrade scripts will be ready. } I was at the the CSuite website looking for info on the new version } etc http://www.csuite.ns.ca/ } } Is there some other info that I should be looking for -- or does } anyone have any other suggestions??
