I have just added to the disribution a set of remote services that
I had intended to do for a long time. When a user accesses who,
search, recent or search-user, thtey also see a link for the
service "in other places". Following this link results in a list
of links tto other community nets supporting the same service --
this is the output of cgi-bin/csuite-remote which builds the list
from etc/conf/remote.db and etc/conf/remote.conf
The former is a copy of a master list of CNets maintained on
chebucto.ns.ca and downloaded (automatically) if necessary or if older
than one day. remote.conf determines how the resulting list is sorted
and what break headings are inserted (default -- provinces).
Still to do -- documentation, improving of the master copy of remote.db
and some tools tot assist in keeping remotet.db up o daet on
chebucto.ns.ca
This will all be in CSuite 1.0-beta-1 and if you want to preview and
correct or add to remote.db, it is at http://chebucto.ns.ca/remote.db
