LOOK AT THIS!

Did you know that when using the "insert" command in AutoCAD, you have the option of previewing what the block is going to look like BEFORE you insert it? At the command prompt, initiate the "insert" command and enter the name of the block you wish to insert. When prompted for an insertion point, type the letters "PS" and hit enter, then, type in the scale factor you wish for your block to appear at, and voila! You will notice what your block looks like if you were to insert it at that scale.

Using the same procedure, you can also preview the Xscale, Yscale, Zscale or rotation angle. Again, when prompted for the insertion point, enter either PX, PY, PZ, or PR, and you will get a preview of the scale factor you enter. Amazing.

Keep in mind that these options are for previewing only. Once you pick your insertion point, you must (re)enter the appropriate scale factors to scale your block accordingly.
