Road through the magnificient Earltown forest
to annual Pipers Picnic in Earltown (first Saturday of August).
Further along this cathedral of trees one passes the
MacKenzie Pioneer Cemetery on the right. The Pipers Picnic supports the
maintenance and refurbishment of the pioneer cemeteries in Earltown; a
tribute to our Highland ancestors, the pioneer settlers who came to
Earltown from (mostly) Sutherland, Scotland in the early 1800s.
