His Citation on being awarded the Military Cross
For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty.
Under heavy shell fire, and at great personal risk,
this officer continued to attend to the wounded of
his own and other units until he himself was
seriously wounded. On previous occasions his fine
work has resulted in the saving of many lives.
