Collect, collate and distribute to members: books, pamphlets, bulletins and other material published by the Society or others, related to the Clan MacBean for the promotion of Scottish culture.
Collect and preserve literary, historical and genealogical records, documents and relics relating to the Clan MacBean.
Encourage visits by members if the Society to their ancestral home in Dores, Inverness-shire, Scotland.
Co-operate with any other Clan Society or other similar Society in the fostering and furthering of the Clan sentiment and education of the public in such matters, the collection and preservation of records, traditions and historical matters bearing on the history of the Celtic race in Scotland and elsewhere.
Develop a Society free from the influence of religious intolerances, ethnic origin, political discussions and material affluence.
Encourage and organize ceilidhs, gatherings and banquets for the furtherance of the ties of clanship.
Foster kinship and clanship throughout Nova Scotia and elsewhere.
To acquire by way of grant, gift, purchase, bequest, devise, or otherwise real and personal property and to use and apply such property to the realization of the objects of the Society.
To buy, hold, lease, mortgage, sell and convey such real and personal property as may be necessary or desirable in the carrying out of the objectives of the Society.
Provided that nothing contained herein shall permit the Society to carry on any trade, industry or business and the Society shall be carried on without purpose of gain to any of the members and that any surplus or any accretions of the Society shall be used solely for the purpose of the Society and the promotion of its objects.
The activities of the Society shall be carried out in Nova Scotia.
