Origin of Clan Bethune
Origin of Clan Bethune
![[Thin Blue Line]](../../../Photos/Line_Thin_Blue.gif)
The name Bethune was common in the Lowlands of Scotland, due to the influx
of Anglo-Norman settlers from the village of Bethune in Pas de Calais,
France. Those of Clan Beaton, living in
the Lowlands, are said to have descended from some of these early Bethune
families.
Document in Progress.
