This web site for the Scottish Clans in Nova Scotia, includes,

A skeleton home page for each Scottish clan in Nova Scotia. Clan societies operating within Nova Scotia are invited to submit material for their home pages.

     Each home page includes: Clan mottos, septs, tartan, badges, etc.
          Very minimal, enough to get the home page started.
          We hope to have a tartan background on first page of each
              clan's homepage, using one of its specific clan tartans.

     It needs input from each clan.  Each home page for each clan belongs
          to the clan, and depends on the clan to supply information.
          Material submitted may be subject to minor editing.

     Suggested Information:
        
        * Information from clan brochures, or from clan newsletters

        * Brief history of the clan in Scotland and in Nova Scotia

        * Aims and objectives of the clan

        * Membership requirements

        * Announcement of upcoming events; history of past events.

        * Any information the clan would like to share with the
          general public, members and/or potential members.

        * Need clan septs, badges, mottos, etc.
          I may not have the correct information.

     This is a very inexpensive  means of getting clan news to
     clan members and potential members.

     Contact person or people for each clan needed: prefer those with e-mail
          addresses.  On each page, there is a mail-link to me.  I need to be
          able to relay queries to the clan, as quickly as possible.  If a
          clan has no one with e-mail access, I will pass along the name and
          address of a contact person.  I will not put home addresses online,
          unless specifically given permission to do so.  Instead, I will pass
          the name and address of the contact person to any person requesting
          information on a specific clan.

* The role of the Scots in the Multicultural Mosaic of Nova Scotia
* A section for septs of all clans, sorted by clan and alphabetically.
* "Seen & Heard" for info-bits from clans. Anything goes here.
* History of the Scots in Scotland and in New Scotland (Nova Scotia)
* Events during International Gathering of the Clans
* Gaelic, haggis, Scottish foodstuffs, etc.
* URLS for links to other Scottish web sites.
* Highland Clearances, Battle of Culloden, more
* Scottish events -=- festivals, games, Earltown Pipers Picnic, etc.
* And much more
