Center Location: When turning into 10 Akerley Blvd., DASC is located at the very back of the parking lot.
Costs: Funded through Community Services.
Center Details: DASC provides various vocational training and recreation programs.
Program(s): Vocational day program; Community employment. 1) Prevocational provides training for individuals who require assistance in the areas of life skills and coping skills, Vocational job training in specific areas of production. The work skills are combined with general work practices (being on time, dressing appropriately, etc). Community employment-on site job coaching for clients working in the community (pre-employment services include interviewing/resume writing). Active Life Styles Club is a recreational program.
Clients Served: Adults; Mentally challenged.
Restrictions: Clients must live in the Dartmouth, Eastern Passage area.
