Sierra Club would like to have displays/tables at FESTIVALS across

This project is starting from scratch so your involvement would entail-

*Establishing a Bio-engineering Committee
Reply to: Richard Isaac
The Sustainable Planet Strategy Team (SPST) would like to establish a
committee to work on a range of bio-engineering issues. Possible issues
for such a committee would be: 1) bio-engineered seeds (such as Monsanto's
"terminator" seeds), that produce sterile plants (forcing farmers to
continually buy their seeds from Monsanto); 2) plants biologically
engineered to be resistant to specific fungi, insecticides, and pesticides
(with the threat that these traits will be passed on through
cross-pollenization to other plant species); 3) human genes placed in
plants to produce human hormones; 4) new species created that are neither
animal nor vegetable; 5) entire new ecosystems created to replace "less
economic" existing ones. In the next century, we very well may be facing
a biological revolution, and we need to begin preparing sooner than most
of us in the Club realize.
