Action Coalition - A U.S. group working for justice, human rights, a sustainable environment, and eradication of poverty. Includes link to "RESULTS", an international citizen's lobby on poverty.
Adbusters - A site devoted to the fight against consumerism in society. Become a "culture jammer."
Bay Area Permaculture Site - A San Fransisco-based site devoted to "creating sustainable human environments."

Community Health Promotion Network Atlantic - An Atlantic Canada network that shares information and resources to support groups and communities to increase control over and to improve their health.
Contact Center Network - The center's mission is to facilitate communication, coordination and shared action for individuals and groups working for a better world.

The Earth Council - An international non-governmental organization devoted to sustainable development. Formed as a result of the 1992 Earth Summit held in Brazil.

Earth Pledge Foundation - Promotion of the vision of sustainable development that emerged from the 1992 Earth Summit. Take the pledge!
Ecology Action Centre - The EAC, Nova Scotia's largest environmental group, offers a well-stocked library, a listing of internet resources & newsgroups, and 'defining the issues' backgrounders.
Envirolink - A VERY comprehensive listing of environmental organizations on the internet. Includes the Sustainable Communities Network of Nova Scotia (that's how good it is!)

The International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives - an international environmental agency for local governments. Their "Cities for Climate Protection" site is a great resource.

Institute for Bioregional Studies - This Prince Edward Island-based institute offers an excellent series of summer courses.

Learning for a Sustainable Future (LSF) - Learning for a Sustainable Future (LSF) is a non-profit Pan-Canadian organisation that was developed to contribute to the implementation of sustainable development education in Canada.
National Centre for Sustainability - A British Columbia-based centre on sustainability education. The main focus is on the "growing imbalance between human economy/lifestyles and nature's ability to cope."
National Center for Appropriate Technology - A U.S. info clearinghouse operating out of Denver.
The Nova Scotia Environmental Industry Association - The association's web site and fairly extensive directory of environmental links.
Rainforest Action Network - an international network with a mission to protect the Earth's rainforests and support the rights of their inhabitants.
Rocky Mountain Institute - A nonprofit research and education foundation fostering the sustainable use of resources across borders.
Sustainable Communities Resource Package - A very interesting initiative of the Ontario Round Table on Environment and Economy.
