Ask Larry Bogan.  A 2014 CBC report on his work with the Monarchs says he
uses stickers:  "The insects are tagged with tiny stickers in an effort to
track them as they begin a remarkable journey..."  One of his stickers was
found in Mexico a few years ago - so that was a triumph.
