I was greatly relieved to hear the beautiful 'whistling' song of an E. Wood-Pewee in our backyard again yesterday, June 5. It's the latest EWPE arrival date here since I have been keeping records. The earliest was May 24 in '84, '85, and 2009. Most arrive between May 30 - June 2 . To me its arrival epitomises the wonder of the variety of migrant birds that find our little wooded corner of the globe each spring. It becomes more precious when one notes the number of birds seen are becoming less and less with each passing year. Take care, Judy Tufts >>>>>>>> Judy Tufts Wolfville <<<<<<<<
