Dear All,

This period of social distancing is a good opportunity to look at
whatever is close to hand. No; not that !

For example, the 6 merous symmetry of a Red Maple blossom is
remarkable.

In Plant Physiology we were told about a skinny fungus which bends
away from light and I thought where will one see these except in a
lecture slide ?

For a few years some animal (Raccoon ?) dumped on top of my
woodpile in the yard and these irregular sausages grew thickets of this
fungus. I have never seen any elsewhere.

     Dave, Kentville
