Hi all,

Alix d=92Entremont will be the speaker at the next meeting of the =
Southwest
Chapter of the Nova Scotia Bird Society on Tuesday, February 25, at 7:00 =
PM
at the Yarmouth County Museum. He will speak on the challenges of =
pelagic
birding. Pelagic birds are species that spend most of their time on the
ocean, far away from land. Alix will focus his talk on two trips south =
of
the Scotian Shelf break in 2017 and 2019. He will show many photos and
videos taken during these two trips. He will also discuss some changes =
in
the species occurring off our coasts in recent years.

Alix d=92Entremont works for the Municipality of Yarmouth and Argyle as =
a
Mapping Technician. He is the editor of Nova Scotia Birds, the Nova =
Scotia
Bird Society's quarterly magazine and a member of the society's board of
directors. Alix is a member of the Roseate Tern recovery team. He has =
been
surveying islands for terns since 2016 and has worked on colonial =
seabird
surveys for Environment Canada and Universit=E9 Sainte-Anne.
